Why did you change the name of the blog?
I didn’t want to buy PinkPost-Its.com and get sued by 3M. I felt like it was a good chance to tailor-make the name to my personality. My parents have nicknamed me Doodle and while that is a cute name it sounds too much like Dooce, whom I admire, so that’d be creepy. So I played with it and came up with Oodleday, which I liked the more I said it out loud. So here we are. Same blog, different name.
Why did you move the blog?
I wanted more control over my blog, and I wanted a situation where I could hold someone more accountable for what happens to the blog if something crashes than I could with Blogger. It’s the story of my life. I’m a little attached to it.

WTF is Chloe Goodwinhorn?
Chloe Goodwinhorn is a totally real person who rocks a mean vest and interviews me from time to time. I imagine if she were, you know, MADE UP COMPLETELY, her name would be an amalgamation of Chloe Sevigny, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Jeanne Tripplehorn, all of HBO’s Big Love.

How did you get to be so awesome?
I ate my vegetables and obeyed my parents. Then I threw that out the window. Then I figured they were right about some things and wrong about others. That combined with a steady diet of cupcakes, sandwiches and diet soda keep me at my awesomest every day.

Awesome enough to where random people read about my life.
What was the best piece of advice Dooce gave you at SXSW?
“Just keep writing.” Even when it’s hard and it sucks and it’s the last thing you want to do, write.
What/who were you named after?
My mom’s favorite perfume. Thank God it wasn’t Baby Soft or something.

Why aren’t I on your “About Me” cast? Don’t you love me anymore?
I had to keep it to a few people. I’ve written about dozens of people but those that I mentioned in “About Me” are mentioned quite frequently and require a bit of backstory. If it makes you feel any better, some of my favorite people aren’t on that page.
