I’m working on my year-in-review tracklist and I’ve been listening to all this music from the past year and its been weird because it was so music-centric that you can just…there’s songs for everything that happened and it’s hard to pare it all down. It’s 18 songs long right now, but I’m still fleshing it out. And you have to tell the whole thing, you know? You can’t pussyfoot around the parts you arent proud of. You have to tell the story as it really was, if you’re gonna tell it. You can forget and push it away but history is history and you can’t change the past. Besides, for every song I cried to there’s a scene of me air guitaring and singing the hook from Oh Sherry in the front seat of my parked car. When I die I will go to nerd heaven with the rest of my kind. Anyhow, I’ll do that and that weird exit survey thing again. And wow…it just occurred to me- I get to kiss this wretched year goodbye tomorrow! Wonder what else I’ll kiss at midnight…
