Funny, it doesn’t hurt anymore…
Ever notice how you have a painful memory or experience and then something happens to where the experience doesn’t bother you? I ran into that today. It’s so nice when you can blow off the prior event and finally shake yourself free of the baggage, that hard candy shell you got dipped into. “Screw you prior event”, you say. “You don’t matter anymore.”
Today I did lots of french homework and watched a whole bunch of DVDs and VH1. Sadly, we must now mourn the passing of my beloved My Big Fat Greek Wedding DVD, because as of today it crapped out on me beyond repair. Since it’s one of my favorites (slightly chunky awkward ugly duckling finds makeover and true love? I’ll take it!) I have to go buy a new copy post-haste.
I’m already planning my birthday party in December. This one will prove WAY more awesome than the last! At least I won’t get dumped this time around, I don’t think. Anyhow, the Hudsons are going to play and I’ll have it at Waterloo, and the whole thing will be fantastic :o) I’m really, really excited about it. It has all the makings of a delicious affair.
I am happy.
I am pleased.
And most of all
I am waiting.
Listening to: “Dreams” in a permanent loop inside my head…”whispered words of love”…

i know exactly what you mean with the whole painful experience nullification thing. i love it, the way you can just shake it off, like, out of nowhere. it’s pretty badass.
