You have just won one million dollars:
1. Who do you call first?
Tricky question. Let’s assume I’m in my dorm room when I find out; I’d tell Vanessa, run next door and tell M&V, and then I’d IM my mom, and then I’d call my dad. So I guess my dad.
2. What is the first thing you buy for yourself?
I’d pay my PhiLamb dues for the next 2 years, and then I’d get a cell phone. And I’d keep an accountant on retainer.
3. What is the first thing you buy for someone else?
I’d buy my dad an old Datsun 280Z like he used to have, and I’d buy my mom some outrageously big diamond thing. She’d have more bling than J.Lo. Of course, if Dad had a new car then Jordan could drive Rollin’ Thunder and I could have Sheldon…..
4. Do you give any away? If yes, to whom?
I would donate some to my churches, and I’d send some to my cousin Emily so she can save it for Alexis’ college (her daughter, my “great-cousin”), and I’d send my mema to Vegas for a week, and I’d get something really cool to donate to the Center.
5. Do you invest any? If so, how?
Bonds. They’re awesome. You pay some now to get more later on down the road. Perfect.
